Abeno Harukas “Tenku no illumination 2019”

Illuminating decoration for the 5th year anniversary of Abeno Harukas. We will be introducing you to a project in which we utilize Nomura Duo’s expertise that ranges from designing to construction.

For the 5th Anniversary of Abeno Harukas, we revamped the illumination. Moving away from the traditional illumination displays that you just ”looked at”, we considered coming up with an overall theme that extended to the various areas of the facility focusing on illumination that is more experiential and immersive. Without deviating from the main theme, featured unique elements in each area so that you would want to go around and see them all. We did total process, from design planning to construction.

Standout features in this production

Instead of just viewing the illuminations, we aimed for a more immersive space as well as giving uniqueness to each feature so that the customers can experience the world of “Abeno bear” and different characteristics everywhere they stopped by. Each spot features distinctive elements (light, sound and interaction) bringing the analog and digital world together.

My style. My values.

Hoping that the customer all goes home with a smile, I put emphasis on communication and details. Not only to the clients; Kintetsu Real Estate Co.,Ltd. and Kinsou Co.,Ltd. but with the end users of these facilities, I strive to give them some form of impact that they leave with. My focus is also to work as “One Team” working with the designer, production team, trustworthy suppliers so that we can strive to create a better result.

Renovation of “Tenku no illumination” for Abeno Harukas in commemoration of their 5th Anniversary. Featuring their mascot bear “Abeno bear” and its key motif of clouds, we came up with an overall concept of “WONDER CLOUDS” where we featured illuminations of various clouds all around the facility.

Standout features in this production

Featuring an eye-catching huge “Abeno bear” illumination in the walkway on the 2nd floor of Abeno Harukas, which can be seen from the Abiko Suji street, below. The mascot will “wake up” and “wave” to the pedestrians below enticing them to come in. On the rooftop open air garden, the concept being “sea of clouds”, we used an abundance of crystals to create a white, celestial world and featured cloud motifs all around.

My style. My values.

I stay genre free and inquisitive to everything. I value in creating a concept where the client and our teams can all relate to.
